It all started when Mike was on a walk with Karl, his beloved corgi. Mike ran into an old friend from Michigan, Matt, who happened to be one of Allie's good friends in Chicago.
Having heard about the new guy in town, Allie swiftly hijacked Matt's phone and set herself up on a date with Mike.
The two quickly realized how compatible they are and began to build a life together, enhanced by the friendship of Karl (Mike's dog) and Nora (Allie's dog).
On July 22, 2022, Mike proposed privately at Blackberry Mountain, over Allie's favorite thing: a warm cup of coffee- and the rest is history!
